Mobilising the sector around climate change - A Green Alliance / EAC Report

The Green Alliance team have released a report on their away day in collaboration with Every Action Counts which was attended by the Coalition's Director Matthew Scott. The event looked at defining mobilisation and discuss what this would mean for the third sector's role in tackling climate change, both in terms of challenges and opportunities.

The event, which was attended by 28 leading third sector figures, looked to get some consensus around the following questions and issues:

  1. How important is climate change to you?
  2. How important is climate change to your organisation?
  3. What are we already doing? – see annex 2
  4. How well is the Third Sector responding to climate change?
  5. How well will the Third Sector be responding to climate change in years?
  6. Mobilising, mainstreaming, leadership
  7. What shall we do about it? – Suggested and current actions
  8. Next steps – would it be valuable to have another meeting?
