Ten years of celebrating social enterprise - win national recognition & up to £10,000

The annual Enterprising Solutions Awards celebrate the UK’s best and most innovative social enterprises: imaginative, entrepreneurial and sustainable businesses that are passionate about social change. It doesn't matter how big your organisation is, what its legal structure is, or what sector you work in; if you can demonstrate your social or environmental aims and impact, you could be in with a chance of winning this prestigious award. Now in its 10th year, this year's awards promise to be the biggest and best to date.  

Who can apply?

There are three categories in this year’s competition: Best Social Enterprise; Best New Social Enterprise and the new Social Enterprise in Schools prize.

Organisations applying for the award must demonstrate or provide:

  • Proof of positive impact on society and/or environment
  • Evidence of innovation
  • A clear breakdown of income
  • 50% or more of the income is generated through trading
  • Future growth and development plans
  • Official UK registration

What can you win?

The Overall Winner in the Best Social Enterprise category will collect the top prize of £10,000 and a year’s membership of the Social Enterprise Coalition. Three other winners will receive £5,000 each, as will the winner of the Best New Social Enterprise award. 

The brand new Social Enterprise in Schools award will be awarded to the UK's most enterprising school. The winner will receive £1,000; an exclusive mentoring master class from last year's Overall Winner, Divine Chocolate. In addition, all of the prize winners will be featured in a special supplement in The Times Public Agenda and be profiled in a DVD following the awards ceremony.
