CSC seek small community organisations to contribute to L&G programme

Do you know someone who could contribute a story of local leadership, share their experience of a development programme or to discuss leadership in the community sector and explore what sort of programme would best suit their needs? If so, the CSC would like to get in touch with them and use their experience and knowledge in the development of the L&G programme. Please can you advertise this request to your wider membership.

Contributions should come under one of the following categories

  • Stories of Local Leadership - an example of where an individual or organisation has provided leadership on an issue in the local community.
  • Experience of leadership development - sharing an indivduals experience of any kind of personnal or professional development programme that has enhanced their leadership skills.
  • Leadership in the community sector - discussing what this means now and in the future. Contributors will join a focus group to discuss leadership in the community sector and explore what sort of leadership development programme would best suit their needs.

These stories will be developed as case studies that the CSC will use in publicity material for the Leadership and Governance programme to provide practical examples of leadership in the community sector. Any issue arising from the focus group will be used to inform the development of the programme for support providers to champion excellence for the community sector.

All participants will recieve expenses and appropriate renumeration. Please circulate this amongst your members and contact Hazel Capper (CSC L&G Programme Manager) with any questions or suggestions.
